No, it is not today, not this year’s Valentine’s Day but the 2009′s. I just felt like reminiscing the very first time I celebrated Valentine’s Day as a wife. It maybe because I feel alone this Valentine’s Day. I didn’t received a Valentine’s greeting from my husband yet which I understand for it’s not the hearts’ day yet in a country where he is at. Anyway, I haven’t heard from him for quite a long time so not hearing from him this Valentine’s Day is not new. I am expecting for nothing, I know but yes, I do expect to receive a Valentine’s greeting at least a veneer one. After all, he is my husband.
Harking back to 2009 Valentines day, it was the happiest ever, the most memorable, the most special. My husband and I were both wearing red that day to show to everyone how much we love each other. I felt like I was a teenager who received for the first time a bouquet of flowers, surprise gifts and Valentine’s card. His efforts in plotting a thrilling surprise with our house maids as his cohorts were the best he has done for me so far. And then the night came, we went to a Valentine’s dinner date at a restaurant with ambiance that was made even more romantic through the accompaniment of some acoustic music.
He made me feel so beautiful and so special that very day. He made me feel so secure, so loved. Sigh, those were the days.
